- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to bring student to a philosophical view of education. The course is based on interpretation of selected works by philosophers of education and continues towards students’ personal considerations of selected topics of the philosophy of educational process (e.g. human educability, relationship between an educator and an educated, an educated as a part of a community and others). The conclusion of the course is dedicated to problems of pedagogy from the point of view of philosophy of science. At the end of the course, students are able do distinguish among individual levels of pedagogical discourses and some students are able to identify a philosophical type of questioning.

Marxist philosophy of education. 5. Phenomenological perspective of the philosophy of education. 6. Philosophy of Pedagogy as a science.

- There will be several lectures in the course of the semester, but the instruction will be primarily based on group discussions about selected works by philosophers of education. Course evaluation: credit Each student will present an interpretation of a chosen work and, based on it, leads a philosophical discussion with others about selected issues related to education.
