- Course objectives
- The conception of the course draws students’ attention to the fundamental Czech, Slovak and foreign works dealing with translatology. The course should 1) provide students with basic information as for the theoretic research in translation 2) inform them about the specific problems of the translation especially from the view point of the language (e.g. Czech), which the translation is performed to: the common mistakes concerning the translation should be realized. 3) The students who might be interested in this course will see how to reach the adequate translation of form and the content of originals. All this will be shown on the particular prosaic and poetics texts that will have been prepared by students beforehand. The course will point on the mutual interrelation between the source language and the Czech language.
