Course objectives
Image and words are closely related in an medieval illuminated manuscript, but image does not alway imminently illustrate the text. The seminary aims at acquating the students with different possibilites of interpretation of illuminations in individual types of manuscripts, inlcuding the marginal illustrations and seemingly unimportant details.
