- Course objectives
- The course is aimed at the theatre and drama of the French Classicism. An introductory lecture offers a basic insight into problems withing a historical context. Afterwards, students are supposed to find and study the connected literature and analyze chosen dramas. A knowledge of, at least, one of the world languages is necessary for also reading of foreign literature is expected.

- Assessment methods
- After an introductory lecture, students write three seminar works, which are possible to be discussed with a teacher. The first work is focused on searching for secondary literature for the second work. The second work aims at analysing of one of three offered plays. The third one compares two given dramas. At least one title of the secondary literature is expected to be written in a foreign language.
