Course objectives
The present course purports to present the so-called fantastic work of Tommaso Landolfi and Dino Buzzati through analysis of their short stories.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to fantastic literature (theory, some texts by Tarchetti and Buzzati). In the remaining time, reading can be extended by analyses of Landolfi o Bontemepelli.

Teaching methods
Lecture: description of the literary field, explanation and definition of basic notions and their demonstration on concrete texts by concrete authors. Seminar: Application of the acquired theoretical knowledge on authentic texts. In the form of a presentation the students show their capability to connect their theoretical knowledge while working with a concrete text.
Assessment methods
Active seminar participation, oral presentation of a short seminar essay.
