Prerequisites
The bachelor exam should pass those students studying single or combinated (twofold) bachelor study programme To join the exam students are required to possess the desired number of credits and to vindicate bachelor work or to have accepted a year work (if student presents the bachelor work in the second branch).

Course objectives
The state exam should prove: - student´s ability to work critically with assigned primary and secondary literature, argue and respond effectively in a discussion - student´s knowledge of scientific and methodological fields - student´s ability to formulate basic theses and present a clear and well-structured exposition of a given problem.

  • The subjects of bachelor exam: The history of the European philosophy from Antique till XX. cent., ethics.
  • Selected questions from the history of ancient and medieval philosophy
  • Selected questions from the history of modern philosophy and philosophy of XIX. cent.; selected questions from philosophy of XX. cent.
  • Selected questions from ethics.
Literature
  • Literatura dílčích předmětů bakalářského studia.
Assessment methods
Oral exam. Topics are published on the website of the Dept. of Philosophy and displayed on the departmental notice board. Part of the state exam is the defense of diploma thesis.
