- Course objectives
- The lecture is oriented on the historical and theoretical outline of Slavonic literatures on the comparative basis, i. e. on the South-Slavonic literatures with the background in the Balkan and Mediterranean area (Slovene,Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian, Bulgarian literatures), West-Slavonic (Czech, Slovak, Polish, Sorbian, Kashubian) a East-Slavonic(Russian, Ukrainian, Byelorusian/Belorussian). The aim of the lecture is to provide the slavists of various specializations with the traditional comparative context of Slavonic literatures with special regard to the contemporary stage of development. At the end of the course, the student will have the knowledge about the development of Slavonic literatures and their poetics and will be able to integrate their aesthetic values in world literature.

- Teaching methods
- The lecture is based on the comparative approach to Slavonic literatures at the background of the development of world literature and its aesthetic values. It applies new models of literary history linked to the methods of area and cultural studies. In the framework of the seminar the students' research and the following discussion are being presented.
