Course objectives
The course is focused on contemporary standard Albanian (shqipja standard), with emphasis on practical language. Students will penetrate into the basic grammar of Albanian (nominal paradigms and the most frequent verb forms) and will be able to communicate on basic level in Albanian.
Syllabus
  • Introduction to Albanian. Alphabet and pronounciation.
  • Definite and indefinite form. Plural of the substantivs.
  • Personal pronouns. Verbs „jam“ a „kam“. Interrogative pronouns
  • Present tense of verbs of I. conjugation. Accusative
  • Present tense of verbs of II. conjugation. Copulative article. Declination of adjectives
  • Genitive. Dative. Ablative. Reduplication of the object. Relative pronoun „që“
  • Cardinal numerals 1-100. Present tense of verbs of III. conjugation
  • Modal verbs. Conjunctive. Future tense.
