Course objectives
The aim of this course is to introduce the key ideas of theory of a novel and also introduce poetics of important novels of contemporary age(Roth, Coetzee, Murakami, McCarthy). At the end of the course students should be able to:
identificate selected issues of theory of novel and compare these conceptions,
describe main features of poetics by Coetzee, Roth, McCarthy and Murakami,
broaden horizonts about works of world literature.

Teaching methods
The students will read selected novels and interpret them in seminar.
Assessment methods
The seminar is concluded by a credit.
