Course objectives
At the end of this course students should be able to:
- undersatnd the evolution of modern fairy tales;
- orientate in contemporary fairy tales;
- confront czech modern fairy tales with foreign fairy tales;
- analyze literary texts with the assistance of the secondary literature.
Syllabus
  • (1 - 2) Theoretical definition of the course.
  • (3 - 12) Analysis of concrete fairy tales.

Teaching methods
A short oral presentation of reports, class discussion, a written seminar work.

The course is concluded by an assessment. Active attendance of classes is necessary as well as working out of an essay.
