Course objectives
The French Revolution (1789–1799) has been considered to be the chief historic event of the eighteenth century with the far-reaching consequences. During the course of this period the French society created the new law and order and the French state was reorganized. Historians have been continually occupied with methods for the perception and comprehension of the broad range of personalities, circumstances and facts which gave impulse to the transformation of nation. Political changes influenced and regulated everyday life, policy formed the new language and customs of civil society. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand and explain the nature, activity and specifics of this modern society.
