Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand and explain the development of museums of applied arts
Analyze of development of industry and arts to museums
Interpret of museum's collections
Syllabus
  • Introduction, terminology, periodization.
  • Industrial and arts exhihitions in 18th and 19th century.
  • Great World's Fair in 19th and 20th century and museums
  • Museum of applied arts in Vienna
  • History of museums of applied arts in Czech Republic - Brno, Liberec, Praha, Teplice, Chrudim, Plzeň etc.
