- Participation in the course requires the knowledge of Czech at the secondary-school level, higher level of knowledge (including dialectology and elementary historical grammar) is naturally an advantage.

- Course objectives
- At the end of the course students should be able to describe and explain adequately the specific features of spontaneous communication in written and spoken forms and to provide their proper linguistic interpretation. The knowledge acquired can be used for cultivation of their own utterances or for evaluation of spontaneous utterances addressed to them. Besides, they are able to deal with specific features of contemporary fiction (including translated works) reflecting spontaneity.

- Independent theoretical preparation. Application of knowledge acquired to selected texts, discussions leading to definitions of problems and finding ways to their solutions; forming own opinions.
