Prerequisites
There are no previous requirements. It is recommended for the student to have some knowledge of Catalan. It's also advisable for the student to have already taken the subject Katalánské reálie.

Course objectives
At the end of the course the student:
- will be able to identify the most important authors and works of the Catalan literature until the 15th century.
- will have a basic idea about the creation of the literary Catalan language and the influence of various substrates in the first Catalan literary texts.
- will be able to recognize the important role of authors like Ramon Llull or Ausiàs March in the development of the Catalan literature.
