Course objectives
In this course students will get acquainted with unique method of usage of music as a curative therapeutical instrument. This method has a long-term historical tradition from primeval ages to present. Course attends to history of musictherapy and its current extensive exercise in the field of prevention, educational system, social sphere and health service. Students will get acquainted with musictherapy methodic focused on the area of psychosomatics (England), usage of musictherapy in work with autistic people (USA, Canada), about possibility of musictherapy and theatre art combination (France), about connection of musictherapy and drawing (Italy), about musictherapy techniques used in Asian countries and about other interesting materials. Course attends to development of musictherapy in the Czech Republic. It is focused on forms of group and individual musictherapy and on possibility of autotherapy with music. Course contains theoretical and also practical part where students will learn about musictherapy techniques, creation of musictherapeutical programs, techniques of nonverbal communication with the help on music, autogenic training, soundtherapy, etc.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
90 procentní účast studenta na výukových přednáškách. Aktivní účast studenta formou krátkého seminárního příspěvku (3-5 stran) k jednomu z výukových témat kurzu, sebereflexe kurzu na závěrečnou zkoušku (3-5 stran).
