Course objectives
The main goals of the course are to:
introduce students into the problems of German, Anglo-American and French philosophy of the 19th and 20th century;
introduce them to the spiritual and intellectual development of Germany, England, USA and France in the era, including the institutional, academic, scientific and philosophical changes resulting from the social and political development of the countries;
teach students to use information on the character of German, Anglo-American, Franch philosophy in their personal work;
define the major traits of American Pragmatism: W. James, J. Dewey;
introduce to British analytic philosophy: G. E. Moore, B. Russell, J. L. Austin, and American neo-pragmatism and post-analytic philosophy;
