Course objectives
This lecture series with seminar discussions captures the theory and histo of the genre of radio drama as well as its modern versions. It discusses the liminal forms (docudrama, feature) and radio adaptations. The aim is to present the basic possibilities of drama in the auditive medium, providing an overview of the key concepts, names and dramatic titles in the Czech and European contexts and offering terminology necessary for a critical analysis of radio drama.

Teaching methods
A lecture series with seminar discussions; individual listening to radio plays and their analyses in class.
Assessment methods
The course will be concluded with an exam. Active participation in class is required; regular home work and a final essay.
