- Course objectives
- Introduction and work with film music by exile composer Jan Novák (1921-1984), a pupil of V. Petrzelka, P. Borkovec, A. Copland, B. Martinu. Novak is one of the forcibly forgotten authors of film music in 1960s, when he collaborated with the most famous Czech directors: J. Trnka, V. Jasny, K. Kachyna, K. Zeman. In addition to feature films he was also involved in short films produced in Brno.
