Course objectives
The aim of the subject Human-computer interaction is to familiarize students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the field. After succesfull completion of the course, students should be able to: - defince HCI field, its history and current trends in the field, - understand principles of design and evaluation of interfaces, - identify and take advantage of distributed cognition and appropriate mental models when designing interfaces and interactions, - use methods for identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation design of existing facilities or design new products (user needs analysis, personas), - practicaly use tools for designing interfaces (paper prototyping, scenarios, storyboards), - practically evaluate environment according to standardized methods and procedures.

Methods of rapid prototyping I. 5. Methods of rapid prototyping II. 6. Direct manipulation 7. Mobile interface 8. User-centered design 9. Evaluation of the interface - Heuristic Analysis 10. Visual and information design 11. Design of social interactions 12. Ethics in HCI 13. Presentation of team work

Teaching methods
Lectures and team work.
Assessment methods
Students evaluation will be based on the outcome of the team project (max 50 pts) and on their own initiative (  feedback on other teams projects) (max 50 pts).   In order to pass the exam students must obtain at least 65 points.
