Course objectives
Acquisition of theoretical knowledge about the migration, the plurilinguism and the critical approach towards discriminatory discourses about human diversity. Practical output in application of modern ways of presentation of research in human and social studies about migration.
Syllabus
  • Basic definitions: migration, immigration, emigration. Typology of migrations. "We" and "they" in perception of people's identity and territory. Discourses about migrants and about pluricultural society. Battle against the stereotypes and against xenophobia. Comparision of French Britain and Southern Moravia.
