Course objectives
At the end of the subject, the student will be familiar with various scholarly approaches and traditions in the internationally diversified environment. These are in particular the approaches, which are relevant to the topic of the Great War of 1914 and other military conflicts as reflected in Austrian fiction and diverse national literature.
Syllabus
  • 1) Taking part at the conference at the Masaryk University (Scala cinema) 2) Listening to the contributions 3) Actively taking part in the discussion 4) Writing a journalistic text, preferably in German, alternatively in Czech. Alternatively, an essay can be written with a topic relevant to the topic of the conference and the conference contributions.

Writing a journalistic text, preferably in German, alternatively in Czech (5000 characters) or an essay with a topic related to the topic of the conference or the conference contributions. Alternatively, a journalistic text for a radio or a television broadcast can be prepared. Discussion about the lectures.
