- Course objectives
- Practice in social care II:
As compulsory optional course content follows the compulsory subject ”The practice in social care I“. The field practice is aimed at specific features of social work, at treating demanding social situations relating to social positions of clients. The aim of practice is to become familiar with the normal operation of the workplace, helping hand, where necessary, and to enrich the knowledge of some drawbacks human life.
After graduation practice student will be familiar with appropriate ways to work with clients of the institution and can use the acquired knowledge and experience for specific job with those clients. - Syllabus
- The practice is unpaid and a student performs unqualified support work. The working place (social care service, retirement homes, hospice, charity organizations, diagnostic institute, children's homes etc.) is of student's choice (e. g. in his/her place of residence). The practice must be held outside of the school hours (e. g. during exam period, holidays, weekends etc.). For the list of selected workplaces visit the department web pages or ask the tutor. - conditions for obtaining credit from practice:
1) validation stamp and signature of the responsible person of the duty of passing practice (verbal evaluation of trainee - what is in engaged during practice and how it manifested),
2) brief report on their activities trainee in the workplace in the range of 1-2 pages confirmed by the responsible person,
3) own written assessment of the trainee practices - the contribution for his personal development (in the range of 1-2 pages)
