Ability to follow a lecture and a movie in Greek. Basic oriantation in the Greek history of 20th century.

Course objectives
The use of history in the public scope will be demonstrated on three Greek movies. In the subsequent debates will be discussed topics such as: propaganda and history, memory and history, art and history, education and hiistori, the meaning of " public history" and the future of history as a social-political science in today's world

  • Triumph over time (1947); Stone years (Petrina chronia, 1985); The Grain (2015).
Teaching methods
Bloc classes: 15. 11 v 15-17 a 16. 11 ve 14-18. Projections, introduction, discussion.
