The students of the Study of Religions are required to be absolvents of the course Introduction to the Study of Religions. The capability of students from other fields will be assessed individually. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- After finishing the course the student will:
Know basic facts about Contemporary Paganism;
Know the roots, evolution and typology of neopagan movements;
Know the evolution and trends in the study of Contemporary Paganism;
Be able to analyze theoretical and methodological problems of the study of Contemporary Paganism and the causes of troubles that affect the construction of Contemporary Pagansim as a scientific category. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- The course consists of lectures. Part of home preparation is reading of the provided literature, some of which requires elaboration and timely submission of a position paper.
- Assessment methods
- To absolve this course the students are required to:
3) Pass the final test (at least 60 points out of 100).
4) Submit (in time) three position papers on provided literature. Position papers are to be submitted until Sunday (11:59 p.m. CET) of the week preceding the date of the lecture.
a. The position paper will have max. 2 pages (i.e. 3,600 characters), will be written in correct English (Czech/Slovak) without typos or grammatical errors.
b. Will meet the requirements provided.
c. Will contain your reactions and questions.
Position papers are to be submitted into the appropriate subfolder of Study materials in the Information system. The subfolder will be equipped with a date of the respective lecture and the time for submitting papers will be limited. If the position paper is not handed in in time, the student will be classified with an N without the right for a resit. - Language of instruction
