- At the end of this course students will able to:
- read and translate a simple medieval Latin text (e.g. chronicle, legend, preaching, visio, hymn, sequence, epic poetry, charter, letter, exemplum, a short passage of scholarly texts)
- comprehend specific features of medieval Latin pertaining to its graphical forms, morphology and style - Syllabus

- One 1.5 hours class per week consisting of a lecture and a seminar.
- Assessment methods
- Requirements for acquiring a credit: oral examination during which students are obliged to show the ability to translate simple medieval Latin text as well as to describe elementary features of Medieval Latin. Class attendance is required.
