Course objectives

The course provides a survey of the subject of study and goals of clinical psychology of child, its leading exponents, history, "classical" topics and current trends including introduction to children psychotherapy and assessment. The yourse contains lectures and seminars - mainly case study seminars.

Learning outcomes (in Czech)

Student bude umět popsat jednotlivé poruchy a diagnostické skupiny. Bude schopen vysvětlit rozdíly mezi blízkými diagnostickými jednotkami a tím si osvojí zásady diferenciální diagnostiky v klinické psychologii. Student získá vhled do problematiky jednotlivých kinických témat, propojí své znalosti z daného předmětu se znalostmi vývojové psychologie a diagnostiky dětí a dospívajících. Naučí se tedy správě vyhodnotit zjištěná klinická i testová data a dojít k určité diagnóze a také zformulovat následný možný vývoj dítěte. Předpokládá se minimálně 80 % účast na povinných seminářích, znalosti studentů budou průběžně kontrolovány krátkými testy na úvodu každého semináře. V případě neuspění v jednom testu postačí studentovi zopakovat si daný test, v případě neuspění ve více testech bude student otestován z celé látky. Při splnění podmínky prezence a úspěšně složených testů bude student připuštěn k písemné zkoušce.

Teaching methods

Interactive lectures and seminars, based on practice of children´s clinical psychologist. Seminars would be realized by discussion about case studies.
