Znalost historie na středoškolské úrovni. Absolvování předmětu MED68 Moderní dějiny Turecka budou pro studenty výhodou, není však nutností. Předmět si mohou zapsat i studenti bez jakékoli předchozí znalosti tureckých dějin.

Course objectives (in Czech)
Cílem kurzu je představit především vývoj politických dějin moderního Turecka, a to i s ohledem na mezinárodní vztahy Turecka. Předmět představuje základní vstup do problematiky dějin Turecka ve druhé polovině 20. století a na začátku 21. století.
Learning outcomes (in Czech)
Na konci kurzu bude student schopen:
- orientovat se v hlavních událostech dějin Turecka po roce 1980
- zařadit dané události do kontextu vývoje v Turecku, případně v rámci širších historických souvislostí
- popsat vývoj vztahů Turecka s evropskými státy
- vysvětlit pozici Turecka na mezinárodní scéně
- charakterizovat základní rysy turecké kultury
