SOUHLAS && PGK11A02 Alternative views on school
During the course we will visit various traditional educational institutions and therefore the capacity of the subject is very small. Students will be enrolled in the course on the basis of two criteria: 1) final reflection from the course Alternative views on school, and 2) evaluation from the subject Pedagogical Theory. Students enroll in the course themselves, but enroll them on the basis of the above criteria the teacher.

Course objectives
Through discussions, projects, visits to schools, testing of research tools and reading of texts, students will learn about classical pedagogical concepts, analyze their specifics and build on them based opinions. The course builds on Alternative Views of School and leads to a deeper understanding of the basic concepts of education, such as the aims of education, curriculum, socialization, factors of education, forms and methods of education.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- identify the specifics of the main pedagogical concepts in the aims, principles, curriculum, teacher-pupil relationship, forms and methods of teaching
- to put forward the arguments by which individual traditional education concepts defend their practices
- instructively discussing the merits and limits of the solutions that each traditional concept offers

Teaching methods
Discussion, group work, project teaching, argumentation essay, documentary film, text analysis, reflection.
Assessment methods
During the semester, students will submit in Elf, at set dates, three semester assignments and a final reflection on the course. For each of these assignments (some are individual, others are assigned to a group) a maximum of 25 points can be gained. To successfully complete the course, students must earn at least 70 points, while no assignment may be accomplished with less than 15 points.

General note: Před zápisem do kurzu musí studenti podat návrh svého individuálního projektu, který by chtěli řešit v kurzu. Na základě toho bude vybráno maximálně 5 studentů do kurzu.
