Course objectives
he works in the seminar concentrates on work with concret authentic materials which can be used in teaching of Italian as L2. Attention will be paid also to using various types of linguistic games.
Learning outcomes
The student will learn how to use authenitic materials in language teaching of Italian language.
Syllabus
  • The students will learn how to use authentic materials of non-didactic character produced by native speakers for native speakers. These materials can be used in teaching of Italian as L2 exactly because they reflect the contemporary language and culture and also the extralinguistic reality connected with the foreign language country. The students will learn how to select materials with educational and comunication potential, to analize them and use them in the teaching practice. The seminar is also focused on using various types of language games which, if selected properly, can become an effective exercise in the course of teaching of a foreign langauge.

Teaching methods
Seminar. After short theoretical background the content of seminar in focused on analysis of authentic materials and language games. Class presentation: analysis of authentic materials. Once enrolled in the course, the attendance is mandatory.
Assessment methods
A condition for admission to the exam is an active participation in the lessons, presentation of an analysis of a selected authentic material and corresponding game activities in the seminar during the semester, as well as an analysis of a selected authentic material at the final oral part of the exam.
