Course objectives
The aim of the course is to achieve the B1+ - B2 level (based on the Common European Framework of Reference) of English language competence. Students should understand the main ideas of relatively complex text on both concrete and academic/professional topics, including discussions in their field of specialisation; can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party; can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of academic/professional subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

- analyse texts from various scientific disciplines - discuss academic and current topics - write an academic text (summary) - deliver a presentation - use grammar structures corresponding to B1-B2 language levels
