- Course objectives
- The course focuses on acquainting the major artistic personalities, tendencies and currents in world art after the Second World War. It as well as covers current research topics of confrontation, contradiction and interference in the artistic tendencies of the Western and Eastern bloc of the politically divided world. It covers a period of three decades, i.e. from the late 1940s to the late 1970s. How did the so-called "Western" art penetrate our cultural space? What was the awareness of "our" art behind the Iron Curtain? The project seminar aims to develop students' knowledge and scientific competence. As well, the aim is to provide not only the knowledge needed for the final state examination, but also the background for developing individual thesis topics.

- The combination of teacher's lectures and active both individual and group work of students on their own projects. The discussion over a current literature, as well as exhibition and scientific projects.
- Assessment methods
- The prerequisite for the completion is active participation (80% of seminars, even less can be justified), continuous fulfillment of tasks and cooperation during the lessons and projects.
