Course objectives
Lessons are supported by an e-learning course where are available all materials, assignments and tasks. The main topic of teaching is the concept of diploma thesis, especially the bachelor's thesis. The course will introduce various methods that students can apply in their diploma thesis. There is another aim to be introduced - academic language - German, where we will focus on terminology, style, etc. through various exercises. Wewill also deal with the correct form of citation and analysis of other academic works.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: Create a concept of diploma thesis, Know the approximate structure of the diploma thesis, Identify academic German, Apply citation rules correctly , Create a presentation about his/her diploma thesis.
Syllabus
  • The syllabus of the course is divided into 13 courses and is included in the e-leraning ELF course. At each lesson, topics will be more or less discussed: Diploma thesis (topic selection, research, concept, research question); Language style in academic thesis; Analysis of scientific work; Quotation;
