Course objectives
The aim of the course is to show students the importance of theoretical knowledge of Spanish grammar for teaching Spanish as foreign language. In addition to presenting various activities that manage to combine the enrichment of the vocabulary with the introduction to lexical morphology, attention also will be paid to some terminological and conceptual discrepancies in Spanish syntax (as well as in the corresponding manuals) that, depending on chosen teaching materials, can make it unnecessarily difficult to explain some grammatical phenomena.
Learning outcomes
Students will learn useful teaching activities related to the enrichment of the vocabulary and the word formation and will be aware of the existence of some terminological and conceptual discrepancies important for selecting teaching materials for the SFL class.
