The Course is outlined as a one-semester Lecture that aims the Familiarization with the Work od Jiří Mahen, the Personage adherent to Brno and at the many aspects undervalued.

Course objectives
The Lecture will focus Mahen´s Influence with cultural Life and Theatre of the Twentieth Century. Beside some of the important Representatives of the interwar Avant-garde reminds Ensembles and Personalities of the second half of 20th Century witch follows with Mahen´s Ideas.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able to interpret texts and work of discussed authors and theater groups.

Rudolf Těsnohlídek, František Gellner, Fráňa Šrámek, Viktor Dyk, Vítězslav Nezval, František Halas, J. V. Pleva … 2.2. České studio/ Czech Studio (Bezdíček, Gamza), Studio Národního divadla v Brně/ Studio od the National theatre in Brno (J. Honzl, E. F. Burian) 2.3.
