Prerequisites
Studying literature and sources related to the dissertation topic. Individual consultation with the supervisor (supervisor of the dissertation). In form of individual consultations. Fundamental prerequisite for successfully completing the course is self-study, controlled study. The student makes extensive use of personal consultations with the supervisor. There is a minimum of four mandatory consultations.

Course objectives
Study of literature and sources. The student gets acquainted with literature related to the topic of the dissertation. At the same time gets into the general issues of musicological work methodology. The student gets acquainted with selected key issues of the field. Emphasis is placed on the development of individual abilities to understand read text, interpret and actively use the gained knowledge in the specific field and interdisciplinary.
Learning outcomes
A successful graduate will be able to:
- reliably orientate themselves in the field related to the topic of the dissertation,
- reliably orientate themselves in the field’s theory and methodology,
- explain key principles of scientific text creation,
- defend their views in the debate, to correctly understand the read text.

  • Getting acquainted with literature and sources related to the dissertation, development of individual abilities to understand the text, interpretation and active use of given issues in the specific field and interdisciplinary.
