Teaching methods
Every lecture requires homework preparation (translations, exersices, texts analysis). After teacher's presentation of the general and particular features of the subject, students are guided to interpretation of the chosen extracts, and class discussions follow.
Assessment methods
A written test on the material covered, aimed at testing the students' knowledge. Successful completion is based on a minimum of 50 percent pass rate. The test consists of translating Latin sentences from Latin into English, determining the grammatical categories of verbs, converting sentences from the passive to the active voice or vice versa, converting sentences from the singular to the plural or vice versa, translating prepositional phrases, and eliciting the conjunction of a noun with an adjective.
