Course objectives
The course is aimed primarily at those students who have not graduated from Russian or have failed the Language Exercises II. It is a systematic training in Russian, the aim of which is to consolidate speech habits and fix the speech forms through grammar drills, to develop linguistic competence using previously acquired vocabulary and knowledge from linguistic disciplines (phonetic and morphological phenomena). It is an optional course for students who need to consolidate and deepen their existing language habits.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - express himself/herself independently and correctly in various communication situations, both in words and in writing, - use the necessary vocabulary.
Syllabus
  • Topics: 1. Leisure activities. 2. Food and dining. 3. Transport and travel. 4. Basic Russian realities (cities, souvenirs, Russian customs). Russian language: 1. Non-clonal nouns, inflection of surnames. 2. Adjectives (hard, soft, possessive). 3. Nominal forms of adjectives. 4. Personal, possessive, interrogative, relative, demonstrative pronouns. Pronouns definite, indefinite and negative.

Teaching methods
One two-hour lesson per week (seminar activities, drills, make-up exercises, confrontation exercises, corrections of erroneous texts). Emphasis on the involvement of all linguistic competences (writing and reading in Russian, grammatical competences).
Assessment methods
Regular participation in lessons. Written test.
