Prerequisites
Passing Korean 1 and 2 or knowledge of basic Korean of comparable level by individual arrangement.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course is to build upon the knowledge gained in Korean Language courses 1 and 2, further expanding it with intermediate-level grammar and vocabulary. The course focuses on more advanced grammatical structures, such as noun and verb suffixes, various expressions of time, and subtleties of social hierarchy. Students will develop vocabulary relevant to everyday life, including topics like meeting people, making acquaintances, family and kinship relations, traveling, and ordering food. This course provides a solid foundation for handling real-life language situations and enhances students' understanding of Korean culture.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student knows the basic principles of Korean grammar and can use them in everyday conversation on common topics.

  • Pronouns
  • Conversation topics and sentence drills or vocabulary focused on: various situations related to meetings, introduction, kinship terms, traveling, visits of restaurant, eating at home.
