Syllabus
  • This course will look at a number of novels and collections of short stories written during the period, considering how they approach and relate questions of form and content, particularly in relation to questions of social identity such as class, gender, ethnicity and locality. Among the authors whose work will be considered are Angela Carter, Pat Barker, Jeannette Winterson, Kazuo Ishiguro, Ian McEwan and Graham Swift.
