The main areas: historical lexicology (changes in the meaning of words), contrastive lexicology (English contrasted with Czech), and links between stylistics and lexicology. In the lexicographical part we should talk about the history of dictionaries, about various types of dictionaries, British and American, Canadian, and Czech, and about the way dictionaries are made.
