The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Technical images are the automatic images produced by technical apparatuses like camera obscura, photography, cinematography, videography, computer simulation, virtual reality. The theoretical base of the lectures is the "visual turn", or the "iconic turn" in contemporary cultural theory and philosophy. The particular topics are: intermediality and the hybrid forms of media images, the relationship between film and photography, video and film, the "iconosphere" of everyday life, imagery of the city and speed. Assessment: oral examination
