Course objectives
An overview of the development of ceramic production in various regions of Classical Greece from the beginnings of the first millennium BC to the end of the 4th century BC; the developments and changes in style and the intensity of production at individual centres in the context with the development of Greek monumental art and with regard to general developmental trends in the Greek world.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Lekce představují soustavný přehled vývoje keramické produkce různých oblastí starověkého Řecka - především Attiky, Iónie, Boiótie, Korintu, Lakónie a Velkého Řecka v časovém úseku od počátku 1. tisíciletí př. n. l. do konce 4. stol. př. n. l. Pozornost je věnována zejména keramice malované. Vývoj i proměny stylu a intenzita produkce jednotlivých center jsou sledovány v kontextu vývoje monumentálního řeckého umění a se zřetelem k obecným vývojovým trendům v řeckém světě. Akcentována je rovněž role keramiky jako jednoho ze základních datovacích prvků v archeologické praxi.
