Course objectives
Course description: Saussure`s structural linguistic - definition of terms: sign, meaning, system, significant / signifier, syntagm / paradigm, synchronic / diachronic. Semiotic as application of Saussure`s theory on non-language systems. Theories inspired by Saussure`s legacy: Barthes` conception of culture as a sign system; Levi-Satruss` structural anthropology; Lacan`s structural psychoanalyze. The art object from the point of view of semiotic (Barthes, Deleze, Eco). Theater semiotic (Fisher-Lihte, Eco, Osolsobě).
