Posluchači se seznámí se základními jazykovědnými disciplínami a nizozemskou jazykovědnou terminologií. Bude objasněno postavení nizozemštiny mezi ostatními germánskými jazyky a její historický vývoj. Stručný přehled historie nizozemské jazykovědy.
