- Course objectives
- A second-cycle course, to be enrolled after Disorders of Psychic Development, taught simultaneously with Psychodiagnostics of Children and Adolescents. The course provides a survey of the various topics covering the field of psychological counselling relevant to psychological care. Students will enhance their knowledge acquired in Developmental Psychology. The “classical paradigm” is used, in which the diagnostics, remedy and psychological care focus on the individual, the psychological interventions being based on the eclectic or “rational” conception.
- Syllabus
- The course provides 1) a brief review of the disorders of psychic development and the psychopathology of childhood and adolescence; 2) a systematic survey of the topics covering the field of psychological counselling and serving as a theoretical basis for psychological aid in childhood, adolescence, maturity and advanced age (theories, models, empirically tested facts); 3) psychological-counselling interventions based on the “rational” and eclectic conceptions.
