Course objectives
The aim of this course is to familiarize the students with the philosophical and artistic principles of Baroque spiritual production on the basis of an analysis of selected texts.
Syllabus
  • Baroque: cultural and historical epoch - the aesthetics and philosophy of this period - symbol as a key artistic device - Spanish mystiques' works and the question of their influence on Czech literature - the spiritual world of a Baroque person - Czech production
