Course objectives
We are going to investigate the aesthetic qualities and social role of the most important contemporary epic form - i.e. the (cult) (TV or Movie) Series. Cult series of the past are the predecessors of the most recent and most poverful marketing strategy - i.e. development of a multimedia TM & © protected ultimately complex world-like interactive structure. Wachowski Bros. desire to produce such a structure trying to fake the succes schemes of StarTrek...

  • 1. Charles Dickens, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Witold Gombrowicz as authors of cult series. Beginnings of Interactivity in their writings. Beginnings of multimedia & marketing exploitation of succes. (The Pickwick Papers).
