Course objectives
The seminar will offer an analysis of structures containing subordinate clauses, rooted in the model of generative grammar. The analysis will show that none of the classifications of subordinate clauses designed within generative grammars cannot predict qualities present in the Czech language material, therefore a new way of analysis will be proposed.
