Course objectives
In this seminar we will cover the development of the technique of the literary collage since the beginning of the avant-garde movement. However, we will focus more precisely on the modification of this literary form in the post-avant-garde poetics of the fifties and the sixties of the twentieth century. This literary form has always existed in the Czech context in a parallel to the development of foreign literature, mainly the French and the Anglo-saxon. That is why we want to trace the most important points of interaction and mutual reflection that accompany this modernist poetical practice since its beginnings. Taking into consideration the character of the genre studied we will also point out the important points of the development in the field of plastic arts. In the program bellow we specify the aspects of the literary collage we want to study in detail.
