Course objectives
The course introduces the literary works of K. M. Čapek-Chod, who is considered the most important representative of Czech naturalism by some experts, but underestimated by others. In Great Britain he is among the most representative Czech writers. The comparison of chosen works of K. M. Čapek-Chod with other Czech literary works enables us not only to trace specific features of his works, but also to think about the specifics of different literary genres.
